Australia wrapped up the Frank Worrell Trophy as they thrashed the West Indies by 419 runs to clinch the Test series at the Adelaide Oval.

Notably, cricket commentator Adam White was left unimpressed by the standard of cricket displayed by the visitors and took a dig on them. White took to his Twitter handle to express his displeasure of watching the West Indies play as he claimed that the visitors are “wasting everyone’s time”.

“The West Indies have to decide whether they actually want to play Test cricket anymore. Because it feels like they’re wasting everyone’s time. Including their own time,” Tweeted Adam White.

While many fans did not quite appreciate the statement made, former Indian cricketer in Wasim Jaffer took a subtle dig at the commentator. Jaffer schooled White over his tweet as he backed the West Indies, suggesting that there is no ‘shortage of talent’.

“When a member of your small community isn’t doing well, you don’t abandon them. You support them. Don’t forget WI beat England in a Test series earlier this year. There’s no shortage of talent and potential,” responded Wasim Jaffer.

The Aussies completed a series sweep against the Windies and are close to cementing a place in the World Test Championship final 2021-23. On the other hand, the visitors bundled out for just 77 in their chase of 497 in the second Test, getting wrapped nearly an hour prior to the dinner break of Day 4. The loss essentially means that their 25-year Test win drought continues down under. The West Indies unit will need to work on various facets of the longest format before returning to Australia next summer.
